1. Find a suitable workplace

Finding a suitable study space is very important when it comes to the long run because it can save your time and stay more focused without getting distracted from other activities.

2. Clean the study area

When it comes to the place which you are going to study, make sure that you clean the study area at first, because it brings a pleasant image to your mind and it motivates you to focus on your studies.
When you are going to start studying it’s better to keep only the relevant materials in your study place.

3. Sort the work

Most of the students either do not have an organized study plan or do not follow it sincerely.
A target should be set, items should be prioritized and an effective timetable should be drawn.
Effective refers to a schedule that should be followed religiously with a determination to achieve progress and results.
When it comes to set targets they are like milestones to be crossed.
The achievement of each target provides motivation to achieve another, and regular studies reduce the level of stress

4. Make a proper timetable

A timetable merely mentions the time duration assigned to a particular subject, and when you start studying, it’s important to do it according to a proper timetable.
Therefore make a timetable with 30 to 60 minute study periods with 5 to 10-minute breaks in between.
But this time varies according to your concentration levels and personal preference.
When it comes to short breaks of 5 to 10mins, it’s done not only to make you recharge but also to give your brain some time to synthesize the information of previous studies which you have done.
Make sure that you change the subjects every hour or so, in order to prevent yourself from getting bored and saturating your mind.
A new subject will wake up your mind and your motivation.

5. Make short notes

While you do your studies, highlight the important points, and make a short note in a way that you like.
It can be a few words, graphs, pictures, or any other format that you prefer.
And it will be easier for your brain to process too.
Switching up what skills you’re using helps your brain process the information faster and hold onto it.

6. Have a snack nearby

Try to keep something simple that you can repeat, while you do your studies.
It can be a few nuts, a piece of a chocolate bar, an apple, or any simple food you personally prefer.
And research shows that blueberries, broccoli, dark chocolate, and fish, are all brain-boosting foods that can help you do your studies well.

7. Stay Hydrated

When you’re studying, adequate hydration is very important for the optimal functioning of the brain.
Dehydration can adversely influence cognitive function, and this is important when considering tasks such as studying.

8. Sleep Well

The benefits of sleep are practically innumerable.
Having a good sleep can regulate your hormones and it synthesizes information that you studied before.
Normally a healthy person needs between 6 to 8 hours of sleep a night, at a stretch.

9. Do Meditation

Mindful meditation increases your psychological functioning and in the process improves your sense of well-being and regular meditation practice helps students to reduce blood pressure, anxiety, and depression.
This will help you to increase concentration in order to complete your work more efficiently and in a shorter time, as well as to stay more focused on your goals, and it helps to keep your mind and body relaxed.

10. Reward Yourself

The final step in this strategy is giving yourself a reward and it is one that should not be skipped.
By rewarding yourself and taking some time to appreciate the result of the work you put in, you will begin to connect positive feelings to the experience of overcoming procrastination.
The way you reward may differ from person to person.
It can be having a sweet treat, some noshing time in front of the television or even going on a trip with your family.
But to mention some people can work really well under pressure, and a certain amount of pressure is needed, in order for you to push yourself and succeed.

However, in order to keep your mental and physical health in order, you should remember to reward yourself.
